Return and Refund Policy

Prometu, Inc. ('Prometu', 'we', 'us', or 'our') is committed to engineering excellence and customer satisfaction. Given the sophisticated technical nature of our robotic hardware, all returns and refunds are governed strictly by this Comprehensive Return and Refund Policy ('Policy'). By purchasing a product from Prometu, Inc., you ('Customer', 'you') agree to be bound by the terms herein. This Policy is designed to protect the integrity of our technology while providing a structured process for legitimate return claims under the jurisdiction of the State of Delaware.

1. Strict 15-Day Conditional Return Period

You are granted a strictly limited window of fifteen (15) calendar days from the documented date of delivery to initiate a request for a return. After the expiration of this 15-day period, all sales are final, and no return requests will be entertained or authorized under any circumstances. This period is intended solely for the verification of the product's physical and functional integrity upon arrival.

2. Eligibility Criteria and 'New-In-Box' Requirement

To qualify for a return, the robotic unit must be in 'Pristine, Resalable Condition.' This is defined as:

  • The product shows zero signs of operation, deployment, or field use;
  • The internal telemetry and logs show no usage beyond factory testing;
  • The chassis is free of any cosmetic abrasions, scratches, or environmental contaminants; and
  • The product is enclosed in its original, unaltered factory packaging, including all internal protective foam, static shields, manuals, and accessories.

3. Mandatory Technical Inspection and Restocking Fees

All returns are subject to a mandatory forensic technical inspection by Prometu, Inc. engineers to verify internal integrity. Prometu, Inc. reserves the absolute right, at its sole discretion, to:

  • Reject the return entirely if the product has been tampered with, opened, or shows signs of unauthorized modification; or
  • Impose a non-negotiable restocking fee of up to 30% of the original purchase price if the packaging is damaged or if minor signs of handling are detected.

The cost of any missing components will be deducted from the final refund amount in addition to the restocking fee.

4. Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) Protocol

No returns will be accepted without a valid Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number. To apply for an RMA, you must submit a formal written request via our contact page including the original invoice and high-resolution photographic evidence of the current state of the product and packaging. The issuance of an RMA does not constitute a guarantee of a refund; it merely authorizes the shipment for inspection. Packages received without a visible RMA number on the exterior will be refused and returned to the sender at their expense.

5. Allocation of Shipping, Risk, and Insurance

The Customer assumes all liability and costs associated with the return shipment. This includes outbound shipping, return freight, and any applicable customs duties or taxes. You are legally required to utilize a reputable carrier with a sophisticated tracking system and to purchase 'Full Value Insurance' for the shipment. Prometu, Inc. assumes no responsibility for products that are lost, stolen, or damaged during return transit. Damage incurred during return shipping will result in a total denial of the refund claim.

6. Non-Refundable Products and Services

Notwithstanding any other provision, the following are strictly non-refundable:

  • Custom-engineered robots or units manufactured to specific client parameters;
  • All software licenses, firmware keys, and downloadable digital assets;
  • Consumable parts (e.g., batteries, treads, sensors) once the vacuum-sealed packaging is breached;
  • Shipping and handling fees; and
  • Any products purchased through secondary distributors or not directly from prometu.com.

7. Refund Processing and Financial Settlement

Following the completion of the technical inspection (which may take up to 10 business days), we will issue a formal 'Notice of Inspection Results' via email. If approved, the refund—less any applicable restocking fees or shipping deductions—will be initiated to the original payment method. Please be advised that financial institutions may require an additional 10 to 14 business days to reflect the credit. Prometu, Inc. is not liable for delays caused by third-party payment processors or banking institutions.

8. Governing Law and Finality

This Policy is governed by the laws of the State of Delaware. By initiating a return, you waive any right to a chargeback through your credit card provider prior to the conclusion of our internal inspection process. Any disputes arising from this Policy shall be resolved through the dispute resolution mechanisms outlined in our primary Terms and Conditions.
